Summer 2010

Here in London, I'm taking advantage of opportunities to work with excellent models for my figurative works, and to add to my nature paintings with more palette knife techniques.

In Painting: I'm adding to my series of Bahamian scenes, both figures and seascapes in lush tropical colors. I also am pleased to see my two large paintings - The Transfiguration and The Annunciation - bringing fresh color to the sanctuary of  beautiful St Barnabas Church in Ealing. You can see all these works under the Paintings tab.

In Sculpture: I have new casts of my mid-size pieces:  No Regrets, Moving Mother, Rites of Spring. These, along with my smaller maquettes Angels & Mermaids,  may be seen at The Mark Gallery in Stuart, Florida. A distinctive patina (brown marble and blue marble) catches light effectively.


Artist Statement

My work, in both sculpture and painting, falls under several themes: Music & Dance, Angels & Mermaids, Lovers & Families, Adirondacks & Bahamas. Sculptures are limited edition bronzes, noted for unique brown and blue marble patinas. Paintings are original acrylics with texture and palette-knife techniques, featuring rich color contrasts.
